Worm gearboxes with primary reduction SERIES P-MI
All worm gearboxes series I-MI are accomplished in a special version with primary reduction stage, except from small sizes (MI 25 and MI 30) and from largest size (MI 150 and MI 175).
There are four types of primary reduction units which are usually combined with worm gearboxes: P 63 – P 71 – P 80 – P 90; the number characterizing each size is actually the size of the motor in B14 construction, which can be fitted with a certain primary reduction.
Each type of primary reduction unit can be made with two different ratios: 3/1 si 4/1. therefore, the highest ratio achievable with a primary reduction is 400/1.
The primary reduction of the worm gearboxes has the great advantage of being able to be used even for applications different from their connection with a worm gearbox, and can be even used as a single separate reduction unit.
Worm gearboxes can be used in different industrial domains such as: food industry, belt conveyors and conveyors in general, mixers, agitators, dosing machines, bread machines, packaging machines, printing machines, industrial automation equipments, wood processing machines.
