Bevel gearboxes are reducers with a single stage of reduction consisting of a bevel gear pair (Gleason). For this reason, they are the only gearboxes with perfectly perpendicular axes. They are not properly reducers in the usual meaning of the term, because they can have a ratio 1:1 and, in such a case, they do not reduce rotation speed at all. In most applications bevel gearboxes are not properly used for reducing speed, or at least this is not their main purpose, On the contrary, they have the main purpose of transferring power and motion from one axis to a strictly perpendicular one. Therefore, they are usually intermediate components of a power transmission chain.
The current SITI range includes four sizes: R9, R14, R19, R24. The number after R refers to the diameter of the solid shaft, both inlet and outlet. Inlet and outlet are made only with solid shaft.
Bevel gears are used in different industrial domains, such as: packaging machine, glass processing machines, industrial automation systems, silos.
