Shaft mounted helical gearboxes SERIES RP2
RP range refers to shaft mounting gearboxes having the following main characteristics: they are units with two stages of reduction; they are paralle axes units, consisting of double helical gear pairs; input shaft is made only as solid shaft; output shaft is made only as hollow shaft; there are severeal versions of the hollow output shaft having different diameters; torque arms consist of two threaded arms mutually connected through the thread and this connection to the thread, characterized by a backlash between mating threads, specifically gives rise to the springing and damping funstions, typical of a torque arm for shaft mounting.
Bevel gearboxes housing is round shaped and consists of two halves, mutually connected through usage of tightening bolts. One of the main features of shaft mounting gearboxes RP is the presence as accessory of the backstop device. Backstop is a device aimed at hindering the gearbox reverse motion, i.e. prevents gearbox from taking the motion in opposite direction on the output shaft, thus transmitting movement in opposite sense from usual outlet to inlet, therefore operating as a multiplier, mived by the resistant load which has become driving load.
Shaft mounting gearboxes are used in many industrial applications, such as: screw conveyors for transport of clays and powders, mixers, agitators, bucket elevators, silos, recycling installation, industrial automation systems, screw conveyors, crushing and crumbling machines.
