Worm gearboxes INOX (STAINLESS STEEL)
Worm gearboxes MU are even made in a special version suitable for corrosive and aggressive environments. these special units are characterized by:
- hollow output shaft made in stainless steel instead of cast iron.
- wheel made in full piece with shaft
- all attached components in stainless steel
- aluminium gearbox houding submitted to a special protection painting.
- in some very special cases, it mught be possible to submit housing to s special treatment called Niploy (nickel plating)
ATEX gearboxes and variators
All our gearboxes and variators can be supplied in a special version called ATEX. In this version, they are suitable to operate in explosive environments which are to be flame-proof and are to be included in the group II zones 2 and 3. in this case the electric motors must be explosion proof.
A version ATEX of the gearboxes needs the following actions:
- shaft seals in Viton are to be used
- a synthetic oil is to be used
- a special label type ATEX to be used.
MI worm gearboxes with special flange for connection to hydraulic motor
Worm gearboxes MI 70/80/90/110/130 can be made in a version with special input flange and special input shaft suitable to a connection to a hydraulic motor instead of electric. Hydraulic motors which will connect to these special units are orbital motors of the type “high torque/low speed”.
Gearboxes for car washing installations (CW)
Specifically for car washing installation with cleaning brushes, we are manufacturing special worm gearboxes in a strictly compact version, closely fitted on a motor with a protection degree IP 66. Gearbox housing is made in a special resin compound and motor is closed construction and directly connected inside the assembly. this special unti is called CW 50 (in fact center-to-center distance is 50 mm).
Helical inline gearboxes with a single reductionstage MCF/…1
Two special helical inline gearboxes with a single reduction stage have been arranged purposely with a flange mounting assembling They are specially devoted to aviculture installations They are called MCF 90/1, MCF 115/1.
Special gearboxes with parallel shafts MEC 63 and MEC 71
They are special units conceived for ice machines. They are compact units, two reduction stages, parallel shafts, protruding shaft on the motor side.
Special combined units
There are several applications on which the requirement of a particularly low speed and therefore of a particularly high ratio make the task impossible to find and suggest a suitable gearbox. The worm combined units can be exceptional accomplished in a version up to an overall ratio of 10000/1, but this solution, not shown on our technical catalogues, involves very low efficiency and enormous waste of energy. In order to find a solution to these troublesome application cases, provided that the interest of the business has been positively evaluated in advance, it is possible and convenient to consider the possible combination of two SITI gearboxes, in a way they are connected in series and the overall ratio is given by the product of ratios of the individual units. Although the possible combinations of units, in addition to worm gearboxes already given on catalogue, are very wide, the ones I consider to be possibly best and most suitable ones are the following:
- two helical inline gearboxes MNHL
- a helical inline gearbox MNHL (acting as first one) and a bevel helical unit MBH (placed as second and last unit)
