Accessories available for bevel-helical gearboxes
Backstop device
All bevel-helical gearboxes are reversible due to very high efficiency. there are applications where reverse motion is not allowed (for instance, elevators or any equipment used for lifting goods. For this particular cases, a backstop device can be used. Backstop device is placed on the inlet side of the gearbox, i.e. on the input shaft, considering that it is subject to a lower torque. If a backstop device is not wished, it is recommended as option the usage of a brake motor.
Torque arm – although usually MBH units are foot-mounted on a basement, wall or ceiling, both if they are horizontal or vertical, there are a few cases when they can be used as shaft mounting units. With this purpose, there is torque arm as the necessary accessory.
Beside the two accessories already mentioned, the bevel helical gearboxes can be equipped with output flanges, even though the flanged mounting on the outlet is not used very often.
The complete range MBH is produced with cast iron casing.
Bevel helical gearboxes are used in different industrial applications, such as: food industry, belt conveyors or conveyors in general, screw conveyors for transport of clay or powders, carousel, mixers, agitators, dosing machines, bread machines, packaging machines, printing installations, bucket elevators, industrial automation systems, wood processing machines.
